Fred Davies: Teacher of Body-Temple Stewardship

A Calling Revealed

When I was seventeen years old, the Lord gave me a glimpse of my life’s mission.

In a dream, I saw myself many decades older—teaching mothers how to help their families be well and whole. The feeling was unmistakable. God wanted me to learn the principles of natural wellness so I could someday teach His daughters how to care for the sacred bodies He had entrusted to their families.

That same year, my midwife neighbor invited me to attend her natural childbirth class. I was eager to go, though my mother thought it an odd request from a teenage boy. After a little persuasion, she agreed to attend with me. Surrounded by young couples preparing for their first babies, we learned how the body—male and female—works together in creation, and how herbs and nutrition could support God’s design for bringing forth life. My mother later said, “I wish I had learned these things twenty years earlier.”

That experience planted a seed that would grow for the next half-century.

Foundations of Faith and Work

I grew up on a small farm in a large family—eleven children in all. We had cows, goats, chickens, and gardens that taught us how to work and rely on the earth the Lord provided. Our table was filled with food we raised ourselves. I didn’t realize it then, but those early lessons in self-reliance and stewardship were preparing me for my calling.

Health challenges ran deep in my family line. Both sides struggled with blood-sugar imbalances—diabetes on one side, hypoglycemia on the other. Among dozens of cousins, I seemed to inherit the worst of both. From my teenage years on, my body demanded food every few hours, and processed foods left me feeling ill. I had inherited weaknesses in my pancreas and liver, and no matter what I tried, I couldn’t seem to stabilize my body.

Later, while serving in the Air Force, another trial came. Years of long runs on hard pavement destroyed the cartilage and ligaments in my right knee. The pain was constant; surgery was offered, but I felt impressed that cutting the body would hinder the healing God intended it to perform. I prayed for understanding and searched for natural answers.

For years, I found none.

Guided to Healing

After reading more than five hundred books on herbs and natural healing, and trying herbal and nutritional suggestions with little change, a friend handed me a small volume—An Herbal Legacy of Courage by David Christopher, son of the well-known herbalist Dr. John R. Christopher. As I read, the Spirit whispered that I had finally found what I’d been seeking.

I began using Dr. Christopher’s herbal formulas—starting with the pancreas blend—and in just six weeks my blood sugar balanced for the first time in twenty years. My constant hunger and irritability disappeared. I was finally at peace inside my own body, and more patient with my wife and children.

Soon after, I turned my attention to my damaged knee. Using Dr. Christopher’s Complete Tissue and Bone formula—internally and externally—and supplementing with natural calcium, I watched my body rebuild what had been broken. Six weeks later I could run five miles pain-free. What a relief to know there were answers.

Those experiences testified to me that the body is divinely designed to heal when given the precise nourishment it needs. I also learned that true healing never happens without heaven’s involvement.

A Lifetime of Service and Study

After twenty-seven years of Air Force service, I retired and chose not to take another career position. My heart was set on the mission God had given me in my youth: to help families use natural, God-given tools to restore health and peace in their homes.

I completed advanced training and became a Master Herbalist, deepening my understanding of anatomy, physiology, and plant medicine. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Business Systems, which trained me to see patterns and interconnections—skills that later helped me recognize how the body’s systems work together as one divine network.

Over the years, I helped neighbors, friends, and clients find solutions that mainstream approaches had not provided. Each success confirmed what I already felt—the Lord intended for His children to learn how to care for their own stewardships. Yet there were still cases I couldn’t resolve, despite every herbal and nutritional effort.

So I began praying with my clients. Together we sought heaven’s help to understand what was missing. Slowly, line upon line, the Lord began teaching me new principles—simple truths about how to “turn the lights back on” in the body, much like flipping a breaker switch after a power outage. These were sacred lessons about how the Light of Christ operates through every cell, system, and organ when we align body, mind, and spirit with divine law.

The Birth of Body-Temple Stewardship

Through those revelations came the framework now known as Body-Temple Stewardship. I didn’t create it; God did. I was simply the student—and now the teacher—of the truths He revealed.

Body-Temple Stewardship teaches that our bodies are temples of the spirit, and that caring for them is a sacred responsibility. Each of us is accountable for our own physical and spiritual stewardship. By learning true principles and applying them with faith, prayer, and natural tools, we can invite the Light of Christ to restore every system to its intended function.

I often remind my students: “Your stewardship is your stewardship.”

That means you are not dependent on others for your wellness. As you learn to listen to the Spirit and communicate with your body through Spirit-led Body Discernment, a prayerful form of discernment, some know as muscle testing, you can receive divine guidance specific to your needs and the needs of your family.

No two bodies are alike, and the Lord honors that uniqueness.

Living Proof of Divine Design

Today, in my late sixties, I feel stronger and more vibrant than I did in my teens or thirties. Each day I spend mornings working outdoors on our small acreage—building, gardening, and tending to the land—and afternoons teaching or meeting with clients. My body functions as it was meant to, and I’m continually humbled by the Lord’s mercy in granting that renewal.

Many of my peers have accepted decline as inevitable. But I’ve learned that degeneration isn’t destiny. God designed the body for regeneration, and He’s eager to teach us how to cooperate with that process.

A Message for Mothers

Mothers, you are the heart of your homes. The Lord has entrusted you with sacred stewardships—your own body, and the bodies of those you nurture. Through Body-Temple Stewardship, I share what He has taught me so you can take that stewardship fully into your own hands.

I understand the worry that comes when a mother prays for help but isn’t sure where to turn. Like President Nelson pleads, “We need your voices … your ability to lead, your wisdom, and your voices,” the Lord needs your light, insight, and devotion in your home. He trusts mothers to seek revelation for their families, and He provides simple, inspired tools to guide them step by step.

You don’t have to rely on guesswork, fear, or chemical fixes. You can learn to work with the Creator’s design—to listen, test, and discern what your family truly needs. Healing and wholeness are not reserved for specialists; they are part of your divine inheritance.

Gratitude and Vision Fulfilled

Looking back, I see that the dream shown to a seventeen-year-old farm boy was not fantasy—it was prophecy. God foresaw what I could not. Fifty years later, I now stand before those mothers, teaching them to be well and to care for their families naturally, just as He revealed I would.

If you’ve ever prayed for answers about your health, felt prompted to learn natural healing, or wondered how to protect your family’s peace and vitality in a chaotic world—you’re not alone. God is raising up Mothers to take stewardship of their own bodies and help those in their homes. And be empowered through faith, knowledge and revelation. This is the work I teach—to help you listen, discern, and act with confidence in partnership with God.

I am not the creator of these truths, only their grateful messenger.
And it is my joy to witness, again and again, the miracles that unfold when Heavenly Fathers children learn to care for their sacred body temples—one prayer, one principle, one act of stewardship at a time.
